This summer when we were in New England for Ted's memorial service, we headed up to Bar Harbor for a couple days. Heather was busy working on her grant application while we were there, so I snuck out one day to hike up the Bubbles, which are a couple small mountains near Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. It was a pretty gray day, but I didn't get rained on too much, and the Bubbles were pretty quiet, which was nice.

My trail took me down to the edge of Jordan Pond, then very steeply up the south side of South Bubble, down to the saddle between the two, then up to the summit of North Bubble. I did run into a couple on top of North Bubble who were kind enough to get a shot of me. From there it was back down, along a carriage road for a bit, then back to the car.

As always, thanks for looking.

Jim
