On Christmas Eve, we were in Bar Harbor, and it was a beautiful day, so we decided to go for a hike up Beech Mountain in the afternoon. Roger, Aaron and Ember came with us. The road up to the trailhead was closed for the season, so it was a short walk in to the start of the hike. The hike was nice, although there was some pretty deep snow in some areas. Luckily we sent Aaron in front for a lot of it to break trail for us.

On top, it was sunny and beautiful, with great views out to the ocean and surrounding islands.

The next day, Christmas, Aaron and Ember had to leave early to get Ember back to Portland for a flight home, so Roger, Heather and I went out for a walk. It was another beautiful sunny day, and there were huge waves, so we wandered up the coast watching the surf.

As always, thanks for looking.
