All this painting didn't happen without lots of prep-work. It gave Jim a good excuse to climb all over the place to make sure the roof trim and the windows looking into the kitchen were ready to go. He is sitting on the roof here following up on lots of work with the wood putty by filling in the gaps with caulk. You can get a little bit more perspective on his perch from the picture below. I'm happy to report that the painting on this side is entirely done.

If you've got sharp eyes, you may see the gray steel super-structure in the background of the picture below. That was a huge fishing vessel in the process of being converted to a pleasure boat. It's since moved down the canal and into dry dock so the skyline has opened up!
