Photo of the Moment - 17 June 2009

If you haven't looked already, Jim has a beautiful page up from out trip out to Leavenworth, Wa. We had a warm and leisurely hike while he took photos of wildflowers and I tried to identify them with my trusty National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Wildflower. In between being generally confused about what I was looking at, I captured a few more photos of my favorite photographer. So, here is Jim at work in the lupines, trying to get the perfect angle. Several great shots came from this stop, but I'm guessing (based on Jim's proximity to the flower) that he was working on this spider and hoping it would sit still for him. The original is on his web page, but I've pasted in below for you to enjoy again.
